Weekly Updates - Term 2 Week 9 Weekend

1. CL lesson updates

Kindly note that we've finished the whole textbook and stopped at lesson 5.

1) Activity Book 1A
The entire ctivity book 1A was completed. I've returned all activity books to your child today and reminded them to bring back home. You can keep this book at home for revision and no need to bring to school any more.

2) Blue Files
Blue file has been returned to you child today as well. Note that the following worksheets have been filed in the blue file:
Pocket #1: 补充练习一~八
Pocket #2: 额外练习一
Pocket #3: 写写画画一
Pocket #4: 小测验一
Pocket #5: 复习一
Pocket #6: Pikachu worksheet
Pocket #7: You & Me worksheet
Kindly note that Blue Files are to be handed in to me on Monday, Term 3 Week 1, first day when your child comes back to school after the June holiday. Please make sure the Blue File will be returned together with all worksheets inside. Missing worksheets or file will cause your child to re-do all the exercise again! We are going to use the same blue file for filing materials used in coming Term 3 and Term 4. Please also let your child revise the worksheets inside the blue file because when children return back to school after June holiday, they are going to have their 2nd Chinese Test (Lesson 1 - 4).

3) Spelling Test 9
Note that the last spelling test - spelling test 9 has been rescheduled to coming Monday, 25 May 2009 instead of the original date 29 May. This is to ensure that I can finish marking and return the spelling book for signature before the school ends. Please make sure your child revise during this weekend!

4) Lesson Plan for coming week
I will use the last week of school - the coming week to revise lesson 5, do 'Hao Peng You' with children and assign holiday homework.

2. Other Matters

1) Travel Form

As June holiday is coming, please complete the travel form given to your child on wednesday. Please take note that Nil reply is compulsory even if you have no travel plan in this June. For those who have not submitted the form by today, please hand in to me on coming Monday!

2) "Follow the parents to work" project - 'Career Awareness Booklets'

Please be informed that the 'Career Awareness Booklets' for the 'P1 Follow Your Parents To Work Day' have been given to your child today. I have gone through the booklets with pupils and brief them on what is expected of them. Please take note that your child is required to complete the project (Using the booklet / Charts / Powerpoint / any other media) and present in front of the class even if your child is not following you to your work place.

Some parents asked whether they may help the child prepare the powerpoint slides. Yes, you can help, but it is not compulsory for you to help your child with the ppt slides because children may use the career awareness booklets to present their work and thus they will not require much help from you except perhaps getting the pictures.
