Dear Parents,
I hope you'll find this email fine. It is going to be a very long mail because I have too many things to update you. I have just returned to school today because I was on Leave of Absence for 7 days due to my travel history to H1N1 affected areas. Sorry for not being with the class for the past two days!
1. Health Screening
The Annual Health Visit by School Health Service Team is coming to our school soon. I was told that the following things were distributed to your child by my relief teacher Ms Lim Yun Yun yesterday (Tuesday):
1) a Letter to parents/guardians regarding the visit
2) Information booklet on "School Health Service: Health Check and Immunisation for P1 Pupils"
i) Medical information form (found inside the Information Booklet, pages 2 & 3)
ii) Consent form for immunisation (found inside the Information Booklet, pages 4 & 5)
3) Information booklet on "Healthy Living for Children"
I will need to collect from your child tomorrow (Thursday) or latest by this Friday:
1) Health Booklet of your child (including those issued at birth or in the pre-school years) from All pupils and other health documents (including immunisation certificates).
2) Completed medical information forms (pages 2 & 3 in Information Booklet) and completed immunisation consent forms (pages 4 & 5 in Information Booklet) and insert them inside your child's Health Booklets.
Please check that all the forms are completed in blue/black ink and the appropriate boxes have been ticked before you submit.
2. "Follow Parents to Work Day" project
I will collect the hardcopy of this project from your child tomorrow. If your child wants to deliver the project in .ppt presentation, you will need to burn a CD to submit or you can just email me the .ppt file. I will help your child to project the slides via classroom av system when they do the presentation. Please take note that our school computers cannot open .pptx file. Do save it in .ppt (without the 'x').Please also take note of your child's presentation date:

3. E-learning Platform @ LEAD
Kindly note that all P1 students' elearning account has been activated. A letter and a guide for information on the way to login to the platform functions within LEAD were given to your child yesterday (30 June) by my relief teacher Ms Lim Yun Yun. Kindly follow the guide and try to login to www.lead.com.sg . If you have any problem logging into the account, please email me with your child's official full name, Birth Cert No., your contact number, I'll forward your login problem to LEAD teachnical officer.
The school portal with all parents and students email accounts have been activated also. A rinted circular was given to your child today by English teacher during her period. Please also try to log in to the school portal and check both your and your child's nyps email accounts. Again, if you have any problem logging into the system, email me your child's official full name, Birth Cert No., your contact number.
4. Things to be distributed tomorrow (Thursday)
1) New timetable and New English teacher
I will give your child a new copy of the timetable for Term 3 & 4. There is only some minor changes and all subject teachers' name are listed on their timetable also. Please note that Mdm Joanne Ang is no longer 1F's English teacher. Our new English teacher is Ms Zhou Huiru. Her email address is zhou_huiru@nyps.edu.sg
2) A letter in Chinese which tells you what combination of Chinese lessons you child is going to take for coming Term 3 & 4. Majority of the pupils will take 'Sheng Guang' (Advanced Chinese) while some weaker pupils will take 'Dao Ru' (Basic Chinese) on every Tuesday morning, first three periods. To acknowledge receipt of this letter, I'll need you to fill in the reply slip at the bottom and ask you child to submit to me on this Friday.
5. Things to be collected tomorrow (Thursday)
1) Health Booklet of your child (including those issued at birth or in the pre-school years) from All pupils and other health documents (including immunisation certificates).
2) Completed medical information forms (pages 2 & 3 in Information Booklet) and completed immunisation consent forms (pages 4 & 5 in Information Booklet) and insert them inside your child's Health Booklets.
3) Chinese Blue file with all the worksheets filed inside. Do not remove any!
4) Chinese Activity Book 1B, with your child's name written on the cover.
5) Chinese spelling book, if it is still with you. Check you have signed on each and every test.
6) Apple Card, if it is still with you. Check you have signed on the last page.
7) 'Follow Parents to work Day' project hardcopy.
8) Chinese Holiday homework - small picture book (Xiao Tu Shu)
