Dear all,
1. CL Test 2 Result
We conducted the 2nd CL test on Thursday. I managed to finish marking all paper and returned it to your child today. Over the weekend, pls sign in ink on the paper. I'll collect the paper back on Monday. It is a relatively simple test and most of the children did quite well. Chui Yingwei, Lin Jieqi, Asher Tan and Hu Yifeng got full mark (50/50). Average mark for 1F is 42.5/50.
2. Happy Reading Booklet 阅读乐
The above named booklet was given to your child on Thursday. This is to encourage them to read more Chinese story books. They should record the date and title of the book after they finish reading a Chinese story books. If they complete the whole booklet, they can use the booklet to exchange a prize, a blue form and a new bookelt.
3. Other CL Matters
I've stopped at lesson 6 this week. Hao Peng You Magazine #21 was given to your child today. They can do page 2, 7, 8, 12, 13, 15. Chinese spelling 10 will be conducted on next Thursday (16 Jul).
4. Reminder
Quoted from last week's update:
"There are 2 circulars informing you how to access Nanyang Portal and Gmail for yourself and your child, dated 30 June and 2 July. Please take some time to read through them and access the Portal and Gmail at home. Please send me two emails through the Gmail Accounts (one from Parent's account, and the other one from your Chlid's account) to acknowledge that you have successfully logged in. Do highlight any log in problems so that I can refer them to the IT department. This is important as in the event of school closure, we will actively use the Portal and Gmail to conduct home-based learning. "
Some parents have not sent me emails from the NYPS Gmail accounts which the school has just launched. I need to submit the data to IT department. Please remember to do it over the weekends if you have not done so. If you have problem login or any quries regarding the school portal, elearning or Gmail account, pls send an email to helpdesk@nyps.edu.sg Email reporting login failures should also cc to me.
Thank you
Regards
Zhou Jing
