Weekly Updates - Term 3 Week 3 Friday

1. CL Matters

1) CL Spelling 10 Result

We conducted the 10th CL spelling on Thursday. I managed to finish marking all spelling books and returned it to your child today. Pls sign on your child's spelling 10 over the weekend. I'll collect the spelling back on Monday. Chiu Jing Yun, Chui Yingwei, Lam Yan Yee, Lin Jieqi, Soh Li Ying, Jarryl Ng, Joash Loh, Keven Chua, Russell Soh, Travis Chow, Yang Chang Jui and Hu Yifeng got full mark. Well Done.

2) CL Lesson Progress

We finished Lesson 7 this week. Hao Peng You Magazine #22 was given to your child and gone through during lesson time. No homework for this weekend. Next week I will start Lesson 8.

2. Racial Harmony Day in NYPS - 20 July (Monday)

Pupils are encouraged to come dressed in ethnic costume on 20 July, Monday, because we will have an Inter-class Ethnic Costume Competition! The class with the highest percentage of pupils dressed in ethnic costume wins!

Chinese, Malay, Indian, Korean...... Any ethnic costume is fine. Those Chinese costume which your child usually wears during Chinese New Year is perfectly fine. Since 1F has PE lesson on Monday, pls let your child bring their PE attire. They will change to PE attire before their PE lesson.

3. H1N1 update - ODT released

Please note that all CCAs and remedial lessons will start from next week (week 4). Because some pupils stay back in the afternoon for enrichment classes, CCAs and remedial lessons, P1 teachers have released your child's personal ODT to him / her. Pupils have to be responsible to bring a workable ODT with them to school everyday. Temperature taking exercise will still be conducted twice daily.

4. Floral Harmony at Nanyang

NYPS will be organising the 7th Intra-school Creative Floral Art Competition on 11 Sept at the Great World City Atrium. We warmly invite your child to participate in this competition. If you are interested, pls email me over the weekend and I will pass the details of the competition together with the registration form to your child on Monday.

5. 'Follow Parent to Work Day' Presentation

We finished the 2nd session of the presentation today. Many children did a great job!!! Excellent presentations... Each child receives a souvenir from Jarryl Tsai (His Dad works for Air Force) after his presentation. The remaining 11 children will present on coming Monday.
