Weekly Update - Term 2 Week 1

Dear all,

1. Bring Apron on Monday

Next Wednesday, the Primary One pupils would be baking cupcakes simultaneously in the canteen for an event for Botanical Garden arranged by the PTA. Please have your child to bring an apron in a Ziploc bag and label it with their name and class. I will collect the aprons by Monday, 30 March 2009.

2. Chinese Lesson Progress and Update

We finished Hanyu Pinyin lesson 11, which is the last lesson of Hanyu Pinyin. We will start revision on Hanyu Pinyin next week. Remember Spelling 5 is on coming Thursday. We will have our first test (Hanyu Pinyin test) in the last week of April. I'll confirm the date with you once it is fixed. Hao Peng You #11 was given to your child today.

As for the booklet "汉语拼音我最行" (- the pinyin exercise with a blue cover, given to your child before the March holiday), please let your child complete bit by bit at home. This is a good revision tool for their coming test. The due date for them to finish the whole booklet is 6 April (Monday). Children can pass the completed booklet to me for marking once they finish.

Please note that your child was given a password for them to access the Chinese game website: http://game.iflashbook.com/ I've pasted the password on the cover page of your child's diary. If your child forgot to bring diary to school, I've pasted it on his/her Chinese textbook instead. Note that the Userid is your child's Birth Cert Number. Do explore the website and have fun!

3. Class Photo Order Envelope

For those who have not handed in the class photo order envelope, the deadline has been extended for you to Monday 30 March.
