Term 4 Week 2 Weekend

Dear all,

1. CL Test 4 (Lesson 9-12)

We've conducted the above test on Wednesday. Marked paper were returned to your child on Thursday, please sign in ink and return the paper to me on Monday. Children didn't do very well, especially for the comprehension questions. Please do have a talk with your child during the weekend to understand how he/she feels towards test like this, especially for those whose mark dropped more than 5 compared to the previous test result. I have gone through the paper question by question with the class and also taught them step by step on how to locate the correct answer from the reading passage. They need more practice at home before SA2 to get better result. Average mark for 1F is 29/40, which is 3 marks lower than my target.

2. CL Lesson Progress

I have finished Lesson 14. We'll start the last lesson - lesson 15 next week. Hao Peng You Magazine #33 were given to your child on Thursday. There is no written homework for this weekend.

3. Admin Matters

1) Coming Wednesday - Lower Primary Games Day + Children's Day Celebration. Please let your child come in PE attire, carrying a small bag with water bottle, pencil case and a story book.

2) Coming Thursday - Children's Day, No school.

3) Coming Friday - Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration. You are welcome to join us for this event from 6:30pm-8:30pm in NYPS. Please refer to Information Sheet 2009/09/15 for more details.
